Abstract

Zero Tailing means the laser cuts to the absolute end of the tube. Not close. Not almost. The end.

Standard machines leave 150–300mm of unusable scrap — the "tail" — because the chuck physically cannot reach the final section. QG Laser's Zero Tailing architecture eliminates this. Less than 20mm remnant. 99% material utilization.

How It Works

The Problem

Three mechanisms:

  1. Over-chuck cutting — Cutting head traverses past the front chuck
  2. Forward chuck displacement — Front chuck moves forward to expose tube end
  3. Front-of-chuck cutting — Laser fires directly ahead of the chuck face
